SEED-TO-BOTTLE SLOW FARMED SKINCARE
At The Blue Barnstead, we cultivate strategic botanicals and herbs to create nutrient-dense, whole-plant infused skincare right here on our Ohio barnstead. This hands-on approach gives us complete control over how our plants are grown, harvested, and stored, ensuring you receive the freshest and most effective skincare products possible.
While it would be far easier to source ingredients from large suppliers, we find immense joy in nurturing each product from seed to bloom to bottle. This not only brings us closer to the process but also helps us reduce our environmental footprint by minimizing ingredient shipping.
Once harvested, our plants are carefully dried and infused into organic, cold-pressed oils through a slow, cold infusion method. By avoiding heat during the process, we preserve the full spectrum of beneficial compounds each plant has to offer. These botanicals are infused for a minimum of four weeks—and often up to six—to create the most potent and therapeutic oils possible.
These concentrated botanical oils form the foundation of nearly all our products, including oils, serums, salves, balms, body butters, soaps, and more. Every product is a testament to the care and craftsmanship that goes into our slow skincare philosophy.
Our plants are grown without pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic chemicals, and our products are:
