BOTANICAL ECO-PRINT WORKSHOP - Sept 13

Join us for a flowerfully fun hands on workshop dedicated to the art and magic of botanical dyeing. Workshop students will create & take home a botanically dyed silk scarf and a wall hanging using botanicals grown on our farm and enjoy light refreshments.

You'll will learn the art of natural bundle dyeing to create a beautiful botanical silk scarf using fresh and dried flowers and botanicals. Next, you’ll walk around our grounds to gather different plants, petals, and foliage and learn the method of flower pounding (or hammered flower art), an ancient Japanese technique called Tataki Zome, that you will use to create your own unique botanical wall hanging (magnetic poster frame provided).  

Class Date: Saturday, September 13, 2025 (note: rain date is the next day 9/14)
Time: 12:00-4:00PM 
Cost: $99 (includes all materials and light refreshments)

Additional Important Details:

• Only 8 Spots Available: This intimate workshop ensures a personal, cozy, and engaging experience for all attendees, so reserve your spot early!
• Classes may be cancelled and refunded if a minimum number of participants is not reached. 
• Adults Only:  This workshop is for adults 21+.
• Venue: Held at The Blue Barnstead (our home) located on 6 acres in Marysville, Ohio. Address is 17330 Bear Swamp Road, Marysville, OH 43040.
• Weather/Attire: The class will take place OUTSIDE on our covered porch and yard and will involve foraging around our property so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfy shoes. In the event of severe weather, this class will be rescheduled for the following day, Sunday, September 14. 
• No refunds. Classes and workshops are non-refundable once signed up. However, if something comes up please reach out to us and we will do our best to accommodate and provide an alternate option (ex. transfer cost towards another class and/or online product purchase).
