1) German Chamomile is a powerful skin multi-tasker that has been shown to help with inflammation, redness, eczema, hyperpigmentation, acne, and free radical damage.
2) Calendula contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. It can help soothe and calm inflamed skin (such as hormonal breakouts), speed up wound healing, and potentially increase collagen production and protect from free radical damage. It’s also hydrating due to its fatty acids.
3) Roses contain astringent properties to help maintain the skin's natural pH balance. They have moisturizing properties and are packed with vitamin A and C, which can be beneficial to aging skin and helping smooth the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, and help aid collagen production. Plus, anti-inflammatory benefits to help reduce redness.
4) Jojoba Oil mimics the natural sebum on our skin and helps with conditioning and sealing moisture. It’s the closest oil to the skin’s natural sebum. It’s lightweight, non-comedogenic and doesn’t clog pores (acne friendly). It’s rich in flavonoids and vitamin E which is a potent antioxidant that helps defend the skin against oxidative damage.
5) Grapeseed Oil is also non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) and contains high levels of fatty acids and antioxidants that can help moisturize the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and protect against free radicals.
6) Argan oil is most known for being beneficial to dry, dull skin. It's non-comedogenic and non-greasy and filled with antioxidants that help protect against environmental damage. It's extremely rich in fatty acids and contains anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties.
7) Castor oil helps moisturize your skin due to it's triglycerides and because it helps draw moisture from the air. It contains ricinoleic acid which is a fatty acid that helps to smooth the skin.
8) Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin that acts as an antioxidant. It's found in our skin sebum naturally and helps protect skin cells from damage, it assists the skin from losing moisture, and helps soften skin.
9) I add the smallest amount (0.1%) of jasmine absolute to this formula. Jasmine absolute serves as a skin conditioner and helps prevent loss of moisture, helps regulate sebum production, and contains antioxidants that help provide protection from environmental damage by neutralizing free radicals. It also smells terrific and is known for it's uplifting and aphrodisiac scent.
